This first impression of The Safe Place is definitely a teaser. You get a sense of a couple of the characters (their personalities and their flaws) in their day-to-day life. But you also know something is about to happen - probably something dark and maybe even nefarious. Seems like a good summer read when you want something that will be quick to read, but builds suspense.
