This book was not at all what I expected, but I really liked it. The beginning of the book tells the story of the Barclay house, Mr. Sitwell, the other servants in the house, and the creation of the Rib King sauce, along with the use of Mr. Sitwell's image.

However, halfway through the book, an event occurs, and it is something I was not expecting to happen at all. The book then takes a turn, and tells the story of Jennie, who had been one of the other servants at the Barclay house, and her life as an entrepreneur.

I really liked Jennie's story. I thought from the description of the story, Mr. Sitwell was going to be the main character, but in the end, I feel like this story was Jennie's. She was tenacious and hard working, and despite all that life threw at her, she kept going. I also appreciated that the end of the story wrapped up what had happened to all of the characters from the earlier portion of the book.
