I would be interested in this book for the historical aspect and the lessons of racial inequality during a time when this was happening constantly. The character descriptions are a big motivation to read this book as is the story line. You also get the emotional aspect from the description, as it is difficult not to become angry or sad on behalf of the main character, August.
