Even though this book is set in the 20th century, it tackles themes and subjects that we still wrestle with in the modern day: race, class, privilege, and exploitation. A searing indictment of stereotypes and the limitations they impose, this novel packs quite a punch, which I think many can benefit from reading right now. Looking forward to reading more
