I absoutely loved this first look, and it completely took me by surprise. I got very big Deacon King Kong & Parasite vibes when reading this, which I absolutely love. These books that deal with severe tragedy are always my favorite things to read, because no book can have such a high rating without bringing the best emotional writing to your characters. I would love to read more and see where The Rib King and it's characters all end up by the end of the novel.
