I believe the “Rib King” is going to be a keeper. Based on what I’ve read in the first look, I can certainly see this novel being part of a middle school/junior high school curriculum. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I believe It would give students and adults a real look at what the effects of prejudice can do. I really like how Hubbard develops the story with glimpses of Sitwells past as the story unfolds. Little by little I became invested in Sitwell’s history, as well as the other characters‘ stories. I would recommend an editor take a look at some of the words that were omitted or misspelled, But regardless of those few minor errors, I would highly recommend this book. This is yet another novel that impressed me With its first look. Once again I find myself hoping to win.
