I didn't get very far into this first look, because I could tell pretty early on that this won't be a book for me. However, from the synopsis I can tell that this book will explore some pretty important topics, such as the exploitation of Black work, and the anger that builds after being underappreciated and mistreated for years. It's sure to be a powerful novel, and I hope people pick it up and examine their own lives after reading. It's just not a book for me, in terms of writing style.
