The Rib King is definitely a book I see myself as a Black woman absolutely needing to read but also I would recommend everyone read this for not only the educational insight into the plight of the Black American in the early 1900s but for the enjoyment from Ladee Hubbard's writing that would come with as well. Twas a little slow to start for me but I am very curious how Sitwell and Miss Mamie end up dealing with the lack of compensation for their creation.

Also, I saw a lot of people aren't feeling this cover but I like the abstract-ness of it a lot actually.
