This book pulls you into the world of Mr. Sitwell, Mamie and the three boys. You see their frustration as they make the best of the bad situation they are in, asked to do their duties without having the supplies they need to do them. The lyrical prose is beautiful at times, and brings you right into the world of the kitchen.
