I was not sure what to expect with this book. The cover is not particularly enticing and does not seem to fit with the historical nature of the story. I’ll admit I was skeptical until I started reading the first few chapters. I was pleasantly surprised. The story has a strong start with lovely descriptions – I could clearly see the house and the characters. Mr. Sitwell is immediately likable, I cannot wait to read more of his story.
