A story set in the past, documents the story of several house workers in a home owned by a wealthy family, the Barclays. When money gets tight, Mr. Barclay decides to use Miss Mamie's rib sauce recipe to help bring in some money. The rib sauce would also feature the face of a long term worker, August Sitwell. The catch is that neither house worker will profit from this arrangement. This book will be a hard look at black exploitation in our world's past and present.
