The Red Address Book is an easy-to-read story that alternates between providing Doris' current life story and the story of her past which is primarily discussed through a series of letters.
Pros:
1) Quick read
2) I loved the relationship between Doris and her great niece, Jenny
3) The story provides a powerful reminder of the importance of having respect for our elders and of the consequences of our actions
4) The author is from Sweden so it was neat to read a story written from a Swedish-culture point of view (i.e. Doris is also Swedish)
Cons:
1) I sometimes almost felt the story was trying too hard to teach a lesson to the audience

I actually enjoyed this story. The story was bittersweet, but it was a nice story that dealt with themes related to prioritizing family, friends, and love.
