I am sad to say I was not interested in the story. It felt mundane and dull. There is no spark in the writing and I do not care about the characters. The story reads like a replica of a specific genre with no real attention grabbing factor. The first paragraph was entirely pointless. It did not grab my attention and I could not keep track of the list of random thing. This is not the way to start a novel from my point of view. I would imagine those who enjoy slow atmospheric novels would enjoy this novel though. I admit though that the literary fiction is not often my type of genre but sometimes I find a good one but sadly this just wasn't for me. I love the cover though. I saw it and was reminded of several popular novels out there.
