"I wish you enough," she whispered in my ear. "Enough sun to light up your days, enough rain that you appreciate the sun. Enough joy to strengthen your soul, enough pain that you can appreciate life's small moments of happiness. And enough friends that you can manage a farewell now and then."

Such a sweet story with beautifully drawn out characters. I really loved Doris. She taught us how to accept the end of life with grace, dignity and humor.

While the story itself had some shaky moments, the characters were all real and solid, people you felt you could have known and by the end of the book you felt you did know.

The theme is enduring love, not just romantic love, but the type of love that binds generations together. The end is emotionally satisfying and quite the tearjerker. I definitely recommend this lovely tale. It's just "enough" heartbreak and joy.
