I really liked the idea of this book: the older generation sharing memories with the younger generation. And I quickly found Doris to be a sympathetic character. However, the memories brought back by the first two names in her book were unpleasant ones, and if the rest of the memories continue in this vein, this could be a pretty depressing book.
