What it must be to view the world through the eyes, and years of wisdom gained in 96 years! Doris clings to her memories and her knickknacks that offer no significant value to anyone but her. A life well lived, but now primarily secluded within the four walls of her home. Indeed this novel must be profound, as profound as spending a day with grandmother....what I wouldn't give to have such a day.
