I’m pretty sure that The Red Address Book is one of those books designed to make you cry. At least, it certainly made me feel sort of weepy at a couple of different points, and I only got to read the first twenty pages!
What I read was wonderfully written and endearing. I wanted to learn more about the lives inside the address book – even knowing that they were all going to have sad endings. As far as I’m concerned that’s the sign of a well written novel.
