Not my normal type of read, but this grabbed me from the first page. Doris is an elderly woman who seems to be waiting for death. She has a red address book she received as a child and it contains the names of everyone in her life. The only one left is Jenny, her grand-niece. She decides to write down the stories of her life, to pass on to Jenny. Doris seems to have lived a very interesting life, and I cannot wait to read all of her stories as she relieves her past.
