Don't be fooled by The Rancher's Baby small and slim size-there's a lot of sizzle packed into its pages. Nobody does "Cowboy Romance" like Maisey Yates-she's been to this rodeo before, but every ride is a new adventure. The Rancher's Baby is part of the Texas Cattleman's Club series for Harlequin's "Desire" line-with an emphasis on "desire." As in Selena Jacob has wanted to be more than friends with Knox McCoy since their college days at Harvard, but never wanted to act on her feelings for fear of ruining their friendship. Instead Selena entered into a marriage of convenience with another college buddy in order to gain access to the trust fund her grandfather left her. With the trust fund money Selena started a natural skin care line that made her very wealthy. But not nearly as rich as Knox, who after college opened a chain of organic grocery stores that put him in the billionaires club. When Knox returns to his hometown for the "funeral" of Selena's ex husband the sparks start to fly. Poor Knox has known more than his share of "hard knocks," and has closed his heart to love. Can two best friends turn their platonic relationship into something more? Well, the title tells you they do, but knowing the destination doesn't diminish the fun of the journey. If you've got an afternoon to spare, pick up The Ranger's Baby-it will put a smile on your face and fill your heart with desire.
