The two main characters, Serena and Knox are longtime friends who had feelings for each other but married other people for different reasons. After having lost touch with each other, they meet up again and are given another chance at happiness after surviving difficult obstacles with their previous partners. Romance and love is definitely there as they begin to find their was together in their new life. Knox is a total alpha-male type, protective and sweet while Serena is independent, caring and a kind person, together they are a strong couple. Their romance is emotional and loving. The story is somewhat predictable however, which is one of the few downfalls. Entertaining, quick read--a good, modern, steamy romance pick-me-up that will keep you interested.
