Full disclaimer I don't read trashy romance novels. they don't entice me. at all.
But here are my issues:
The excerpt provided by bookishfirst was actually engaging (described below). I was enticed by the premise if Will showing up to his own funeral. of multiple women bringing notes stating they were the beneficiary of his estate.
Was this a major premise of the book? Nope. not at all. For all intents and purposes, the only reason that not-a-funeral was important was so that Selena could be reunited with Knox.
Secondly, the back if the cover states, "She's having her best friend's baby..." But do you know when that plot point is addressed?
page 166.
your back jacket should NOT offer plot points located in the last 50 pages. first 50? maybe. last 50? nope.
Engaging? sure. a quick easy read. But I feel it misses the target of being a well written book.
