From the very beginning you can tell how entertaining the novel is going to be. It starts at the funeral of the main characters ex husband and along with a few other of his “wives, girlfriends or baby mamas.” We learn that even though it was not a true marriage, the main character is still grieving. In walks her best friend with whom she has a complicated relationship, especially since she feels a bit more that friendship towards him. That is one of my favorite storylines: friends to lovers. We also learn that even though they are at a funeral, the person who is supposed to be dead walks in! Now what is going to happen? How is everyone going to overcome all their tragedies to be able to live a happy ever after? I think the fact that these two are friends but have plenty of other baggage is going to make for a unique read.
