I sure do love a best friends to lovers trope! And this one had all the emotions and struggles that pull at your heart strings.
This was my first time reading a novel by Maisey Yates and The Rancher's Baby made me want to read more from the author. After seeing that it was a Harlequin Desire novel, I got even more excited to read the book and my heart was satisfied. It had all the angst and fear that come with trying to get out of the friend zone and don't even get me started on the sexual tension. I really loved these characters. Selena Jacobs and Knox McCoy had chemistry. When you sat in Chemistry class and your professor/teacher went on and on about atoms bonding to form molecules, they were really talking about these two. Meant to be together although it may take a while. The Rancher's Baby followed a beautiful friendship that evolved into a honest, open, and lovely novel.
