Being a male reader, I always find it odd that so much romance centers around the helplessness of women. Although the main character is well off every other character around her is a carbon copy stereo type I find in most female characters. This novel follows the same formula that irritates me until I throw the novel against the wall. The author seems to have a hold of her main character and I hope she doesn't have to wait endlessly for the male to rescue her, or her business. Kudos to those that plan on reading to find out, this however turned me off in three pages. And why are they always in Texas or New York City? Don't people fall in love in Portland without horses around.
