This book sounded amazing in the blurb and the First Impression had be definitely wanting to read it. I don’t typically read YA, I actually usually steer pretty clear of it, but I loved the premise and promise of magic and fantasy and romance. So I decided to give it a shot. I tried to read it and not continuously have the “these are kids” thought but in the end i just couldn’t. It has nothing to do with the author, who is extremely talented to have these worlds in her head to share with us, it has everything to do with me just not being able to fully invest in the story.
This was my first book by this author so I’m not sure if she has more with older characters, I hope so as i don’t want to keep comparing to this one.
