Not for Me.
The Queen's Assassin by Melissa De La Cruz is said to be for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Red Queen. I jumped on this book so fast it was scary. I wanted so badly to read the book about assassins and royals because it seems to be something I really enjoy.
Unfortunately I have found that I have to DNF this book for the time being. I have tried too many times to read this book and have had no idea what I read. It felt like I was reading a textbook. I have officially decided to move it to my DNF shelf/pile as I have even tried the audiobook at this point. It is very disappointing to me as I read the first look and wanted this book so badly. The premise intrigued me so much and I was so excited to read it. By the time I got it, I was no longer interested in the content. I thought that maybe it just wasn't for that time but as I have tried it multiple times at this point and I tried the audiobook, I think I must admit defeat on this one.
