Shadow is my favorite kind of heroine. She is intelligent, determined and follows her own path. I really liked her from the start. Caledon is strong, clever and funny. The interactions between the two were entertaining. I would say there were parts of the story that felt predictable at times but the twists at the end surprised me and I couldn’t put it down.
