I have read Melissa de la Cruz before, and am excited for this new book by her! I am especially excited by Shadow's point of view, and am really interested to learn about the magic system that this world will use. Cal also seems to be a unique perspective to read from, so I am very interested in seeing what happens. I like the cover, and light pink isn' t often seen in fantasy covers, and the black roses make a really interesting and intriguing contrast. I am interested in seeing what the significance of the cover will be.
