Any bookworm knows that Melissa de la Cruz is a big name in the young adult fantasy genre. But this genre of novels just isn’t my cup of tea... or, based on the cover, my goblet of tea. And speaking of the cover, I think the design plays it a little too safe. Black roses, pink background, golden chalice... nothing groundbreaking or original. But, I’m sure this book will be a huge hit with YA fantasy fans!
