Many will love this ... but not me

I read many genres of books, but fantasy is not one I enjoy. The world-building is usually very distracting to me, taking me out of the story rather than pulling me into it. This author is likely very gifted at creating a universe in which her characters live, but I didn't enjoy this First Impression (honestly, I could only force myself to read a couple of pages) and have no interest in reading this novel.
