I am a big fan of the Red Queen series and reading the first few pages reminded me of that series. I can say I was instantly hooked. It does take some time to get used to the terms and locations in any new world. Reading of the struggle to return the magic to this land and take back the kingdom in just the first few pages makes me absolutely want to find out more!
