First off, the cover for this one is absolutely gorgeous! I could stare at it all day.
I’ve read a handful of Melissa de la Cruz’s books and I’ve enjoyed each of them, for various and different reasons. The Queen’s Assassin sounds like an incredibly intriguing fantasy tale, and it seems like from the first impression that’s it’s also going to be a darker fantasy, which fingers crossed it is. I adore dark fantasy and I’m always looking for more.
Aside from the intrigue factor, the first few chapters are also gorgeously written and so atmospheric. I haven’t heard of this book prior to today, but it’s definitely landing on my most-anticipated tbr list after this.
