I'm impressed with the twist in this concept. Usually, in YA fantasy novels like this one, the role model for the main character is portrayed as distant and awe-inspiring. I'm excited to see the development of the characters as the master assassin begins to appreciate the skills of the apprentice and the apprentice understands the flaws and emotions of her idol.
