The cover and title caught my attention and the storyline hooked me. Fantasy is my jam, so anytime an author can shake things up a bit in the world of magic is great. Melissa De La Cruz does a great job making Shadow a relateable, fun, strong female character. Can't wait to see where her story takes us!
