I LOVED this first look and I wish I had the rest of the book to read right noooow!
Okay, now that my whining is over, I can safely say that this is one of my most anticipated books from the near future. The cover is beautiful, the writing is descriptive and compelling, and I was sucked into the story from page one.
The main character, Shadow, already has my interest. She’s a strong heroine to take the center stage, with a tragic backstory and supernatural abilities that still have me imagining the possibilities. The story around her feels natural and integral to who she is as a character, and I was rooting for her before the first look ended.
Oh and, when it ended, I think I might’ve cursed out loud. I can’t wait to read the rest of this. From what I’ve read, this promises to be mysterious, luxurious, and intriguing as hell.
