I picked up this book originally because of the BEAUTIFUL cover and was excited when I read the blurb. I've been really excited about fantasy books lately. Athe Poison Season was very good, I had a hard time putting it down. It is a nice easy read with good morals and characters that were so very forgiving, even though sometimes I did not agree! Lol The only thing I really wish was that the author went into significantly more detail about the intimate relationships of the main characters. The way things were explained left me confused at the lease and wanting more explanation and a lot more details to get more invested. I am an adult though and this may have been more written for teens or young adults. This was a very unique world that the book takes place in and in another time which I enjoyed. I also enjoyed all of the characters names very unique but not so much so it distracts from the story. 3.5 stars. We will round up.
