I won this ARC through the giveaway and I really liked this story. It is about Leelo who is part of a tribe on the secluded island of Endla, which is surrounded by a poisonous lake and protected by a magical Wandering Forest. The Endlans are closed off from the "outsiders" - everyone that is not from Endla. Leelo loves her family, her village, and the magical singing ceremonies they do every season. But she has questions and is not happy with all the traditions and she also has question; questions about the history of Endla, the Forest, and the meaning of these ceremonies. One day an outsiders happens to cross the lake and ends up on the shores of Endla and Leelo has to make a hard decision - kill the outsider like she is supposed to or save him because she does not want to kill another human. From here the tale unfolds with notions of loyalty, honor, family, and secrets kept.

This was a good story. It was a great fantasy with a touch of mystery/suspense. The only thing i had a problem with was the animal sacrifices. I understand the purpose of such scenes but I don't think that had to be that graphic, but that's my opinion.
