First thing, I think the cover depicting Leelo is beautiful. It has a mysteriousness about it and I can't help but wonder if there will be reference to the swan later on since it depicts a feather on her hair.
The atmosphere is intriguing. Why is this lake poisoned and what exactly is the Wandering Forest? What makes a place like this special and in need of protection? The story itself seems interesting with the characters that are introduced and the customs/rituals that are described, but I do want to know more about the history of the people of Endla that protect this forest such as why is it they protect the forest, when did they come to the island ... and just how big is this island?
