The cover and premise drew me in, and the writing had me hooked!

Wow, first of all, what a gorgeous cover. I LOVE Charlie Bowater's art so that alone would be almost enough for me to buy the book, but then I read the premise and was intrigued and the First Look hooked me. Even from the short preview, I loved the world-building and character development. I can't wait to see what Mara Rutherford can deliver with an entire book.
