One of my most anticipated releases of the year from one of my favorite authors!

This fantasy has contemporary vibes. The setting is atmospheric and full of forest magic. The Wandering Forest takes on a personality like a character. I love the way it's portrayed as its own entity, that is something to be both respected and revered in its plight to preserve itself. The society on this island has a cult-like feel to it. Even from this first look, we get a sense of foreboding that things are not quite what they seem. Leelo has an innocence to her, from her sheltered life on the island, but we can already start to see how events are beginning to change her perspective and open her eyes to truth. Both Leelo and Jaren treasure their family above all else. I love Jaren's wistful, dreamer personality. The artwork in this cover is absolutely stunning and truly captures the essence of this story. I absolutely plan to have a copy of this one on my shelves. I can already tell that I am going to love this one. I can't wait to read more about the lore and world-building, and for Leelo and Jaren to meet. I think it will be a really heartfelt, forbidden romance between the two, set against the perfect backdrop of a creepy, sinister forest and the people who call it home.
