The first few chapters of The Poison Season are quite intriguing! Leelo lives on an island with a mysterious forest and poisonous, and outsiders are not allowed. I'm curious about the rules behind their lives on their island and what they are protecting. Many characters have already been introduced, including a second perspective from an outsider. Although this excerpt wasn't enough to hook me, I'm curious enough that I'd continue reading this, and do like the cover a lot.
