I was determined not to use my points on any more books, but this excerpt got me! I was so intrigued by many aspects of the excerpt, from the magical musical magic to the MC's complicated relationship with multiple members of her family. The poisoned lake and the forest seem really compelling as well. Finally, I loved the dual POVs. Overall, I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this book!
