I love how this book jumps into the story right away, setting the scene with small bits of world building. It's one of those books that you know you'll love from the very beginning.
Main characters Leelo and Jaden are very likeable. Both from different sides of the 'lake' in the same world. I love how Leelo's character is not your typical heroine who is numb to the bad things going around her, she is in tune with it and is upset by her people way of world.
Jaden seems like the comedic relief character, daydreamer with a loveable family.
I genuinely love them so much and I can't wait to see where this story takes them.
