I really enjoyed this excerpt and I love the island with its dangerous forest that destroys anything that doesn't belong and its poisonous lake. I think it is really interesting that people are living on the island with magic by agreeing to give sacrifices/blood. Leelo is beginning to question the way the incantu are kicked off the island for not having magic and she shies away from the violence of the island.
