In the first three chapters of The Poison Season, we're introduced to a fantastical setting that is mysterious, deadly and simultaneously appealing. We also get to know about different beings living in this enchanted place with hints about their roles and responsibilities. In the first impression, I'm left with many questions about the place and the characters and I imagine fans of fantasy would keep reading to learn more as the story unfolds. For folks who aren't into new worlds, this might not grab their attention quickly enough.
