I’ll be upfront and say this just isn’t my cup of tea. Leelo lives in a community that sacrifices adolescents if they don’t live up to standards. It has small scale Hunger Games vibes. Like, watch your friends or family suffer and die for the “greater good.” The narrative seems to alternate between Leelo and Jaren but I’m not sure if that will continue throughout the book. Also, the cover is quite beautiful.
