INSTANTLY drawn in by the hauntingly beautiful cover, which I believe is illustrated by Charlie Bowater if I'm not mistaken. After reading the synopsis, I'm even more thrilled about this pick! It kind of makes me think of the movie The Village from the early 2000s.
