I thought the descriptions in the first bit of this book were excellent, immersing the reader immediately into the forest village and the life of Leelo. While there was a lot of knowledge and background of the world described, it didn't feel so overwhelming or like it was slowing the plot down. I enjoyed the writing style of the author; I am intrigued to see where the plot goes.
