After reading the preview of this novel, I was immediately drawn into the story after just a couple of pages. This book centers around a girl named Leelo who lives in an isolated place called Endla, which has a deadly lake that is supposed to protect the island from any outsiders who travel there. I found Leelo to be very likable, and she came across as strong and protective. I love that this book blends fantasy and romance elements together, because I am a huge fan of books like these. I am really interested in learning more about Endla's secrets, and what Leelo will discover about the place she calls home. I also think that the cover of this book is truly stunning!
