Review:
I found the plot of "The Plot" (lol) extremely interesting and decided to request it from bookishfirst with my points. Jean Hanff Korelitz wrote the novel, You Should Have Known, which made into the mini-series, The Undoing on HBO and that made me even more interested in picking this one up.
I wanted to love this mystery contemporary novel but it was not my favorite. I was expecting more of a thrilling read and did not get that. However, it was still a well-written tale with an unquie and great twist ending.
I think for me it was the writing style and the third-person narration that I struggled to connect with. that kept me from loving this completely.
I recommend checking this interesting tale out. I would not go in expecting a thrilling or intense novel, it is more a slow burn mystery. I will be checking out more from this author in the future!
